Tyrone Hayes, Professor of Integrative Biology at UC Berkeley, is an endocrinologist known for his work on atrazine, a common pesticide used on corn crops. Hayes has found that atrazine causes hermaphrodism in male frogs by causing them to synthesize estrogen, the female hormone.
